For Schools · Years 3–4 and Years 5–6

Recognise emotions. Think through choices. Lead with respect. Rehearse for real life.

WordGuard helps students turn emotional awareness into practical action. Through guided scenarios, discussion and rehearsal, students practise managing emotions, communicating respectfully and seeking help in everyday and online situations.

Practical implementation

Plan

Choose a year band and agree safeguarding, access supports and a realistic lesson schedule. Use the pilot guide to define baseline tasks.

Teach and rehearse

Lead six original modules of approximately 35–40 minutes. Model, discuss choices and offer paired, written, visual or teacher-supported practice.

Observe and review

Use the four-level skill rubric, separate completion from demonstrated learning and collect accessibility and implementation feedback.

Resources available in this release

Twelve differentiated lesson versions, facilitator explanations and modelled examples, guided scenarios, six-stage classroom presentations, downloadable activity sheets and optional family prompts, a learning rubric and private teacher observations. The public demos need no registration. A teacher account is required to store observations or private feedback.

Not implemented: individual student provisioning, school-wide shared rosters, automated class reporting or evaluated outcome claims. These are not included as working features.

Evidence and Evaluation

A transparent starting point

Designed to teach

Recognising triggers, using a pause strategy, considering perspectives, rehearsing respectful words and identifying appropriate help. Modelling, guided feedback and transfer tasks make these skills observable.

Product-specific evidence

This release provides original lessons, scenario tasks and an observation rubric. No independently reviewed WordGuard outcome evaluation, participating-school results or verified testimonials are supplied with this release.

Not yet evaluated

Learning retention, transfer outside lessons, effects on wellbeing or behaviour, comparative effectiveness and accessibility across different school contexts. Curriculum alignment is not proof of outcomes or accreditation.

How to assess a pilot

Use baseline and follow-up fictional scenarios, record actual support and demonstrated actions, and gather accessibility and implementation feedback. Account for missing evidence and alternative participation.

School pricing and written scope

The public demo, curriculum preview and printable pilot guide can be reviewed without payment. School pricing is available on request. A written quote confirms services, commencement date and GST treatment. Before collecting student information

The classroom sequence uses fictional examples without student recordings or uploads. Teacher observations are optional, account-scoped and visible to their author and WordGuard administrators. Keep identifiable student evidence in your school’s authorised system. Agree consent, access, retention and safeguarding before any individual student access.
