Privacy and data handling

Updated 7 October 2026

This notice separates the supervised classroom demonstration from other account tools. Do not enter student names, real private messages, personal incidents or confidential school records into the pilot activities, staff feedback or enquiry forms.

Information used by each part of WordGuard

Public classroom rehearsal

The school demonstration keeps choices and optional fictional drafts in the current page’s memory. Drafts clear when stages change. It requests no student account, microphone, recording or upload.

The teacher can see what is shown on the shared screen. Hosting and analytics requests are separate from the scenario responses.

Accounts

Signing in uses Base44 account services. Account information includes name, email, role and account identifiers.

Account services and authorised administrators handle account information. A student account is not required for the supervised public demonstration.

School enquiries

The form collects adult contact name, email, school or organisation, role and optional enquiry, with record dates and an administrator-managed status.

WordGuard administrators review enquiries. Genuine submissions are configured to send the supplied details to the operator’s email inbox through Gmail. This is not an emergency reporting channel.

Teacher feedback and observations

Optional signed-in teacher feedback stores school, year band, optional lesson, feedback category and text. Optional observations store lesson, year band, task reference, completion, ratings and notes.

Access rules allow the author and WordGuard administrators to read these records. They are not a shared school roster. Do not enter student names, diagnoses or personal incidents.

Separate signed-in learning tools

Other account tools can store lesson progress, saved/read content, submitted message text and analysis, or breathing-session summaries. These are outside the supervised school pilot.

The corresponding saved learning records have account-scoped access rules. Submitted content in AI-enabled tools is sent for external processing. A private history view does not mean service providers cannot process the content.

Optional adult audio

Separate adult voice-note tools send recorded audio and an account identifier to an external voice service and upload audio to file storage. They are not part of the school demonstration.

The current adult voice-note screen restricts upload by age and acknowledgment. Removing a history entry is not proof that the audio or external copies have been deleted.

Website measurement and purchases

The site loads Google Ads measurement and uses Base44 analytics, including public visits and successful enquiry events. Individual-app checkout uses Stripe and stores purchase status and transaction references.

These services process their respective requests. The school information page does not initiate checkout. The demo’s fictional drafts are not submitted as analytics events by the activity.

Record access and removal

Private teacher records are restricted to their author and WordGuard administrators by app access rules. Teacher observations have a remove-record control. Account deletion and history removal do not establish that every record, stored file, backup, email or external service copy has been deleted. Use the contact form to discuss access, correction, retention or deletion scope before submitting personal information.

Before individual student submissions

The supervised school pilot does not require individual student accounts, saved personal reflections, recordings or AI submissions. Keep identifiable student evidence in the school’s authorised system. Schools should agree consent responsibilities, authorised access and handling of any stored staff records before enabling account-based storage.

Optional device narration is activated by the user. Its processing depends on the browser and device speech service; no microphone is used by the school activity.

Questions and privacy requests

Use the contact form for access, correction or deletion requests, or to raise a privacy concern. Provide adult contact details only, not passwords or student information. A request may require identity and scope confirmation; submitting it does not itself remove records or external copies.
